Hey guys! Today I'm going to be reviewing some bio-cellulose sheet masks that I was kindly sent from the company When. They sent me 'The last choice' mask and the 'Glamour base' mask. In the UK you can buy these sheet masks from Top shop, Birch Box UK and Selfridges.
The company say that their 'Bio-cellulose sheet has proven to be more effective and eco-friendly compared to fabric or hydro-gel materials' and that 'The sheet needs to completely and closely cover the skin, otherwise, the formula will tend to evaporate leaving the skin cooled but without the job properly done.'
the first mask that I tried was ironically 'The last choice' mask. I'm sure you've all seen sheet masks before buy in case you haven't they are white sheets that are soaked in a serum. You place these masks on your face and leave them for 30 minutes to work their magic. After 30 minutes you peel them off and massage the residue left on your face into your skin.
I applied the mask as directed by the packaging. When I took the mask off after 30 minutes my skin felt amazing and hydrated I have oily/ combination skin and this mask made it feel hydrated and moisturised without feeling greasy. The Selfridges website says 'This soft, jelly-like mask sheet is made from coconut juice and is formulated with sodium hyaluronate and saccharide isomerate to help keep skin moisturised.' After trying these masks I can definitely say that it helps to keep your skin moisturised. You can buy a pack of 4 'The last choice' masks from Selfridges for £25 here .
the second mask that I used was the 'Glamour base' mask. This mask is supposed to make your skin a perfect base for applying makeup to. I applied this the same way as the 'The last choice' mask and took it off after 30 minutes. The Selfridges website says 'When you want your makeup to look great and to last longer, prepare your skin with When Glamour Base for smooth and supple looking skin. This soft, jelly-like mask sheet is made from coconut juice and contains adenosine, collagen and peptides to help improve elasticity.'
After I had used this mask I applied my everyday makeup. My makeup applied smoothly and I fell that it lasted longer without going cakey. I really liked this mask and it acted like a primer for my makeup. Just like the other mask it also made my face feel really soft and hydrated. You can buy a pack of 4 'Glamour base' masks from Selfridges for £25 here.
Both of these masks were really cooling as I applied them to my face so they also help to combat puffy eyes. These are also a great way to cool down especially as that england seems to be going through a heatwave at the moment.
Hope you enjoyed this post!
